What is a Cryotherapy and how it works:

Staying young starts here, with LifeCube and the power of freeze
Cryotherapy is becoming more popular and successful every day. Even celebrities and athletes are counting on this innovative treatment.

Extreme cold for only a few minutes is neither painful nor unpleasant, but rather enjoyable.

Due to versatile application possibilities, cryo chambers can be used for medical, fitness, wellness and beauty purposes.

LifeCube is electrical cryo chamber. As a result, it reduce the temperature without nitrogen. Through the use of cooling aggregattes and cooled ambient air, it can reach temperatures down to -110 degrees Celsius.

Cryotherapy facilities use extremely low temperatures for medical therapy. Cryotherapy is mostly used in an effort to help relieve muscle pain, sprains and swelling after soft tissue damage (sport) or surgery and to improve recovery after sports activities.

The treatment involves exposing individuals to extremely cold dry air from − 80 °C down to – 160°C for 2-4 minutes. During these exposures, individuals wear minimal clothing to maximize the effects of cryotherapy (remember about the parts particularly prone to frostbite -hands, feet, ears, nose. Ear protection is provided by a headband or a hat and gloves for hands. Jewelry and other metal items must not be worn.

Benefits:
      • Cryotherapy helps with muscle pain, as well as some joint and muscle disorders, such as arthritis. It may also promote faster healing of athletic injuries.Doctors have long recommended using ice packs on injured and painful muscles. Doing so may increase blood circulation after the ice pack is removed, promoting healing and pain relief.
      • It improves lipid metabolism and improves the patency of lymph vessels and the range of joint mobility. It has a positive effect on the neuromuscular, endocrine and circulatory systems. It increases the body’s antioxidant capacity and immunity. It leads to an increase in the number of lymphocytes.
      • Low temperature and exercise stimulate the secretion of hormones, incl. endorphins, known as happiness hormones. Therefore, cryotherapy is recommended in the case of neuroses, fatigue and in states of low mood.
      • Milder symptoms related to the menopause
      • Support weight loss (in combination with a proper diet)
      • Celulite reduction – after a series of treatments, the body is cleansed and regenerated, the skin is smoother and tighter.

Being cold forces the body to work harder to stay warm.

A few minutes of cold can increase metabolism all day. Eventually, people no longer feel cold because their metabolism has adjusted and increased in response to the cold temperature.

Low temperature stimulates the immune system. Therefore, cold therapy is recommended for people with recurring infections and lowered immunity (the treatment cannot be used during a cold).
